Late May 1916 - Italian front

My Western allies seem to be doing well in Italy, piercing deep into Austrian territory. AI does seem to love breakthroughs in this game, going for all or nothing, either achieving major strategic advantage... or losing entire corps in the process.

There is a lot of give and take there. Arabia joined the war, only to lose its capital for a short while. Ottoman troops are by Cairo, and Allied ones - in Jerusalem. Overall, however, Western Entente is doing better there than 6 months ago.

Despite my best efforts the entire war, Tsar takes command, and the revolution is inevitably looming on the horizon. 6.1 million men have been lost to date, and the war is far from over.

Apparently CP fighter pilots are always better than Russian ones...

This is what I had:

6 1916 fighters, 40 cohesion, 0 experience
5 1916 fighters, 39 cohesion, 0 experience
6 1916 fighters, 34 cohesion, 0 experience
6 1916 fighters, 34 cohesion, 0 experience
6 1916 fighters, 23 cohesion, 1 experience
6 1916 fighters, 23 cohesion, 0 experience
6 1916 fighters, 24 cohesion, 0 experience
6 1916 fighters, 30 cohesion, 0 experience

This is CP had:

6 1916 fighters, 0 cohesion, 0 experience
5 1916 fighters, 5 cohesion, 0 experience
6 1916 fighters, 11 cohesion, 4 experience
6 1916 fighters, 5 cohesion, 1 experience
6 1916 fighters, 4 cohesion, 2 experience
6 1916 fighters, 4 cohesion, 1 experience

And the battle tally? 47 losses, 22 kills. No Russian plane made it out, according to the casualty listing. In reality, 17 planes were still functional after the turn.

Current war totals: 573 to 582 losses, although I am starting to question integrity of those reports.

When I noticed that 1400-strong Austrian army, I expected it to head to Lemberg. Instead it is heading straight east - essentially preparing to surround my troops in Galicia if not withdrawn. I wonder if CP AI has a hard-coded motivation to go to Kiew as soon as possible?

In a swan song of Brusilov offensive, right as my troops are withdrawing, 2 CP divisions cease to exist...

In my game, the Czar took over but they didn't have a revolution I don't think. But it hovered around 75 for a long time, too.

How high was the rebel alignment?

Really enjoyed your AARs, descriptions, side notes, observations, SS, Method to the Madness, ect.. I don't have the game (TEAW) yet, CTGW has been my favorite, however, been looking for something on the scale that's here. You certainly make it look interesting.

This is very interesting and relevant to my game not so far advanced. It seems like Russia can conserve its airplanes for recon and safe theatres until it gets fighters.
