@Pocus : as a friendly reminder about the "Tooltip Background Opacity" : http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?37197-ToolTip-background&p=326848&viewfull=1#post326848
I mentioned this in the CW2 Forum , is it possible to add this also to "to end all wars" ? Would be great

PS : dont forget to include it in next CW2 Patch , please

Good timing for the reminder, I have some time for it today. This will apply to CW2 as well indeed.

Alternate Buttons

Thu Oct 02, 2014 3:28 pm

Is this correct layout of alternate buttons?

Image

EDIT: After restarting game, it is better.

Image

However, it is not as good as in older games because of two reasons:

1. Button layout is upside-down. For example, veterans are accustomed that assault posture button is on the top and passive button to be on the bottom. If you wanted to please veterans this order reversal is unnecessary.

2. Buttons are very tiny. This wouldn't be a problem but then chosen ROE and Posture buttons need to be better highlighted. As it is now, it is difficult to see what is pressed.

Still no tool-tip for the cost of most decisions, including munition factories. (French version)

I have gotten twice a CTD (sort of) with the strong center battle planner choice. Not always, but sometimes I choose it then get an error message flickering between the game and the desktop. The game keeps running slowly but it is unplayable and has to be closed. I can't find the log files if they would record such a thing.

It is impossible for me to install the patch.... :bonk:

I don't understand nothing

Could someone explain in detail how to do it?

This is the third time I have to uninstall the game and I installed the END ALL WARS folder in all imaginable places and the game still does not get the correct version.
I think that this could be corrected in the second version of the patch :(

I don't understand nothing, by default the patch route is C:\Games\To End All Wars\to End all Wars

Hi Ludoperez...

I think you have one to many to end all wars in your patch path..

When the patch asks which folder you want to install it to use this path C:\Games\To End All Wars

it should install correctly then...

Hi HIghlandcharge thanks for your explanation.

i delete all the folders of the game again in GAMES directory
Install the game and later the patch in this patch C:\GAMES\To End All Wars ( as default).
Now i have a folder To End All Wars in GAMES directory , when i open this one i found a new folder named also End All Wars.
The game start without new scenary and options....and nothing new....

I tried to copy manually the contents of the new folder in the above, but the game don't run......this is frustrating.

Finally I did it, I searched all files named END ALL WARS To my PC and I deleted again.
Then I reinstalled the patch in the path C: \ Games \ To End All Wars that gave me HIghlandcharg
And everything is fine now.
Some file is not erased well and this was to be the problem
Thanks a lot Highlandcharge

Here you are. In this save, there were two failed assault on Konigsberg and Przemsyl in the last turn resolution. In both cases, every corps who took part in the assault retreated and was set to passive.

What is the side you played and where exactly your assault got repulsed, Nico65?

EE player vs AI - assault on Königsberg and Przemysl.

The passive corps in adjacent provinces are the one that failed the assaults.

It happened every time an assault failed in this game. Note that this game started with rc6.

Pocus will the RC8 patch be compatible with games started with RC7?

Cheers

I patched over RC7, and the alternative posture buttons are not working properly. When you click on them, different buttons are highlights. For example, I click on Assault and Passive is highlighted. Anyone else seeing this?

Hi RCA , I have not noticed any change in the tool tip pop ups, what exactly are you seeing in your game?

When I move the cursor about the map tool tips keep opening to display information. I had the option 'Tooltip Delay' set to high as otherwise it's a right pain. The setting seems to make no difference now.
