Did you look at the save game? No, you did not. I did far worse than historically, but still won. If you think that's okay, then you and Ageod need to rethink your game design.
The problem is clear, the new super bloody battles result in too may captured units. The algorithm must use losses in the assignment of victory conditions. So, what happens is that the French in particular have a strategy to lose the war by killing massive quantities of their men and leave much materiel on the field for the Germans. Really? Is this the "we lose so the Germans don't give in to the National Socialists" Plan?
I'm sorry you don't see a problem. Frankly, the game is broken. Period.
I just completed another game with C09, and the results are the same.
