In the later game (post early 1915) I try to keep Corps detached from Armies. (1) Because I like a coherent frontline and (2) I like the additional maneuverablity. With one big Army Stack (3-4) Corps attached, I might take a region or ravage one enemy force; with one Army Stack and 3-4 detached Corps I can cut the railroad behind him to prevent escape, gain military control in regions around him or surround him even. The new GHQ/HQ/IC organization is the best thing that happened to the engine. Doesnt make sense for every period of course (hello possible WWII game coz there it totally would WINKWINKWINK!
)
