Scrolling crash.

Wed Jun 24, 2015 12:17 pm

When I scroll and zoom out the game always seems to crash, sometimes it's because I press control shift esc(to increase priority of the process) at the same time, for some reason the game cannot handle it.
Sometimes it just crashes randomly when I do this(without the hotkey), I have no problems like this with TEAW.

Specs:
Windows 7
8gb RAM
Geforce 780
Intel i5 3,5Ghz

You might want to disable texture loading at start then, scrolling with bit less fluid but the game should be more stable.

I think it is an engine bug actually. For some reason the game loads only a certain area of the map when you first load a save. But if I move the camera around the map and the game slowly loads the map into memory, or whatever it does, the game becomes much more stable. There's a lot of stuff in the CW2 map compared to TEAW for example, and the engine can't handle it. Maybe the game should be allowed to use more memory? Maybe an SSD would help?
