Missing Files for PBEM

Sat Sep 21, 2013 4:40 pm

I've been playing a couple of game against the AI and have had no problems. I went to start a new game for PBEM play but did not see any trn files in the save directory. I only see the hst and ord files for my side. Does anyone have an idea where the trn file might be located or how to make them visible if they are hidden?

There is no TRN anymore, this was done to speed up the turns. The HST has everything, just give it to your opponent so he can makes his turn (it means the files can't be passworded anymore obviously)

But it also means both players can be the host, one on odd and one on even turns. So, if the players sends ord and hst file, his opponent can hit end turn button after he is finished. This speeds up the process.

Hi Ace, yes me and my able opponent used that "co-hosting" technique in our Caesar v Pompey game, its still going with only 14 turns to go, I am losing sadly, but enjoying the game immensely :)

I presume you are Pompey if you are loosing. It is very uneven scenario :)

No its worse than that, dont pass out.... I'm playing Caesar, I have played the scenario quite a few times, Ive won and lost...I dont think its that uneven, Caesar cant be everywhere at once.. unfortunately for me in this game :)

And my opponent is a good player, dont get to big headed Homet ;)

Highlandcharge and I have had several spirited Caesar vs. Pompey games. He's won a couple as Caesar and I'm trying to come out ahead in our current game as Pompey. All our games have been very exciting. Now I fear he is looking to humble me in CW2.

Glad to have found this - the on-line manual has the old AACW and RUS description. Shouldn't it be on the forum front page or is no-one playing PBEM (or are they brighter than me  ?

Thanks

So the manual is wrong concerning PBEM exchange ? Is there a way to rename a saved game ?
