"Or"? Both could happen (Madrid conquiered by Durruti). I don't think the game is intended to play the same scale of victory with Durruti, where the Republic (and nationalists for sure) would surrender to Anarchists (despite they saved the Republic in the very firsts days as Republic would have been overrun in one day without them; and despite too the CNT collaboration once the Republic was saved).
A Republic victory was not a victory for the Anarchists of Durruti: the just born democracy (which is 'anarchy' for bourgeoisie since 150 years*) behind Durruti collumns was destroyed by republicans (not by the nationalists for it was already done) where they could.
For a History store, going usual bourgeois propaganda (Durruti as a so republican) as marketing is not reliable. Okay many told they were republican, because they were a vanguard and other people might not understand, and for international newspaper were rather in the hands of republicans.
* Read those old texts written by those who built the so called 'democracies', mainly French and American: They hated democracy maybe more than they hated aristocracy. Instead of democracies, they built republics (where they become the new aristocracy), and they called them 'democracy' to cheat people.
