Should I get this one or wait for empires?

Just picked up AJE and love it although I don't know what I'm doing yet and brand new to Ageod. I am wondering how this game is and if I should get it or wait for the new one? Also are the turns in this have as long as the turns in AJE? Please let me know.

This game is great, as delcastel says. Nope, do not wait. This is the definitive computer game of the American Civil War.
The turns are half as long, two weeks, not a month as in AJE. This changes a bit how you play.
