Can someone take a look at a turn and explain why the battle is taking so long?

My computer has 16g ram and is good enough. The game 99% of the time runs perfectly fine, but for some reason every once in a while large battles take FOREVER vs the AI to process. Any idea what causes this problem?

How long is, "so long"? I've got an i5 core cpu with 8gbs of ram, and it takes maybe under a min for most battles involving larger forces. When there are a series of reinforcing troops from adjacent hexes, the series does take longer. BTW, I'm running Windows 7, still.

20 + mins, I'm assuming its something with the save file.. Yes there are diff reinforcements coming in from adjacent tiles. It's weird because I've had bigger battles take less time, I think the file is just corrupt. Oh well, it's just an AI game. Gonna try switching some settings around. i7 gta NVidia GeForce 860m 16 gigs ram
