Music in AACW2 ?

Sat Aug 31, 2013 5:26 pm

I haven't read (nor heard !) anything about music in AACW2... With CW1, I discovered a whole genre of great songs, ballads and reels I never heard about before. I felt in love with its simplicity and joyful melancholy and bought every disc of the 2nd South-Carolina String Band who recorded the tracks.

So what's up in AACW2 ? Have you brought in any new song ? Is this the same sound track as in CW1, or something new ? I just hope it isn't digital music, but something equivalent to the great standard we're now used to in your games.

There will be a new theme, 4mn long and we are also using the previous musics of ACW1, because they were quite good.

Thanks for the info !
I realize music may be a minor feature in such a game, as I suppose most players turn it off after a few hours, but still, AACW has one of the best soundtrack I've heard in wargames !

Thank you so much, Bruit Blue. That's one of my favorite Civil War songs. As soon as I work out the chord progression (I have no musical training) I'll start playing it on the guitar.

Just a reminder that the South Carolina String Band performed all the songs used on the sound tracks of ACW & CW2.
