I don't know any reliable way to clear the pw. It can be done but it's kind of just trial and error of loading your turn, then deleting the pw then saving. Sometimes it doesn't take, you'll have to try a couple times or do things in a different order, save, delete pw, re-save whatever.

I won't be able to run the turn today until very late, hopefully Brian or someone else can step in.

I ran the turn for 1850-11-01. I made a blank file for Austria to cover for him. Hopefully everything went alright!

Did the U.S. .ord file get run with the turn?

EDIT: yes, I see that it was. I just got worried for a second. I noticed the turn was run early, and it was right after I put the file in the drop box. Close call!

Do we have a solution for the AI problem, when we cannot do our turns - it cost me 400 money and on inflation what the AI did in one turn hat I forgot to copy to dropbox early enough - also I will be on holidays end of March for two weeks and may not be able to do turns during that time - so a solution/suggestion would be very welcome...

Am talking w/ Pocus about it. Should have something soon, I hope.

Random question, but I feel like this was asked the last time we played...

What does it mean when it says "The structure that would be triggered by it would not be valid in this region" when trying to play a protectorate card? All parameters are within the limits of the decision.

I wish i could remember...

I think it means that the parameters are not actually within the correct limits, even if they seem to be, but I could be wrong on that...

Another technical question - how does mnapower work - I have Frenhc, Dutch and German culture in my provinces (no Belgian) - from which do I gain manpower? Do I gain manpower also from colonies?

It may be that the average CP is not high enough. Part of the requirements of the card is that the average CP be over 25, and the average CP of the region is 25.4. It is possible that it needs to be a round number, 26 or higher.

From reading in the forum, I got the sense that all of the inhabitants of your "national" provinces provided you with your manpower. There was some debate as to how much your colonies provide manpower though. Someone in the forums claimed that by playing the immigration card in the colonies they think they were able to raise their manpower slightly. It's hard to tell because the game isn't exactly clear on how it's calculated.

Sometimes I find straight out military occupation of the colonial capital allows me to play the 'declare Protectorate' card if all requirements have been met.

I checked again this turn, and my average CP is over 26 now, so all requirements should be met. My only concern with trying to establish military control is that I would have to then declare war and after occupying all provinces being stuck in a never ending war because the AI won't accept peace.

This was proposed earlier. Is there any discussion allowing the below deal between China and Belgium before running the script?

Belgium and China are petitioning to admit the following agreement and event sequence to the next available game turn. P.S. Pictures (from 2011) of the fort to be transferred are included ;)

OOC: I haven't seen any specific discussion, but rather kept counting down the 3 days during which it can be struck down by anyone who disagrees.

Speaking of Belgium, I found an interesting Grad Student thesis about Belgian colonial efforts. Apparently they were trying to colonize everything and everywhere in 1840s, even though unsuccessfully. I'll gladly share a copy.

Ok, I'm having a very strange issue with my game. The only turn that appears in the load game screen is Austria. All the rest are there seemingly, but "invisible". Just blank lines with no text. They are clickable, but clicking on them causes a CTD. So I can't load Germany or run the turn. It's the strangest thing, never had this happen before.

So if someone else can run the turn that would be great. We'll see if my problem clears up next turn or not...

I read the email chain and processed the turn without the AUS ord file. Files are now up.

Could I get whoever runs the turn to watch out and give me a blank order if I miss a turn any day this week? I've been moving to a new house and am having trouble getting turns in reliably for the short-term.
