No illustration in Unit Panel

Contrary to other titles as ACW2, EAW, etc. who gives us an illustration of the chosen character in the Unit Panel, in the game PoN this illustration is absent.
Did I miss something during the installation of games?

You should patch the game using latest public beta patch presents in 'Help Improve PON' subforum!

What about the Steam installation? I have the same problem....

You can disable auto-update for PON on Steam, and then install the public beta patch on the Steam version.

Well Bummer, Pocus. I am 0 for 2. I not only have pixelated portraits but also no unit graphics in the detail screen, even with this update

About detail screen, the issue was fixed with the latest public beta patch, this has been confirmed by several players. Can you post a screenshot of the Credits window, it shows version number.

Here you go. This is the credits screen. It states 1.04 but below is the game screen where there is no unit illustration[ATTACH]33371[/ATTACH][ATTACH]33372[/ATTACH]

So that's normal, this is the old version, the latest one is:

1.04 RC5 Jan29-2015

Ok then, that's odd since I am installing the RC patch into my installation folder. Maybe I just have to wait until it's official? It's not working, or more likely, I'm not doing it correctly


EDIT: I figured it out. I was installing in a sub folder
