error message I need translated

Wed Mar 24, 2021 5:23 am

Just got a new computer and wanted to install some of my favorite games. On each of the games when I try to start I get this error message which is in French. Hoping someone can help me out . The message is "Exception EAccess Violation dans le module Pon.exe dans 00101598. Violation d acces al adress 00501598 dans le module Pon.exe Lecture de l add 0000004". (this example is from PON). Thanks

This message says you have an access violation, which means the program was denied access to your computer. What you do to solve is pretty easy, just select 'Run as an administrator' from the right mouse button pull down menu. This will give the game access permission to run.

I did the run as administrator and I still get an error. The log stops at "Initializing Audio Engine". I am waiting on my audio device for my new computer. I hope that will fix it but I don't know. Thanks

If you have no sound device, then yes the game will crash. That's an ill advised check deep down the engine, you can't play without a sound generating device, even if you mute the sound.

If that's not the issue, install (or copy) the full game in an alternate drive, but not C: and not in Program Files.
