1.04 hotfix battle bug (infinite loop?) and resource generation query.

Playing Russia under 1.04 + hot fix. I'm getting to the end of the Caucasus revolt Jan 1857 and have finally pinned down Chief Iman Shamil but am getting a unresolvable battle error. Screen shot of error, logs and game saves attached.

Additionally I've noticed with this game patch version that the world is awash with resources. In my previous games keeping up with resource production was always a challenge, is this working as intended? Assistance would be appreciated.
