Another Direct X to Renderer message

Tue Nov 05, 2013 12:41 pm

I just bought the game two days ago, and have had a very frustrating time since trying to play the game. I have yet to play for more than a few minutes (Year of 4 Emperors) when the game fails on the "Direct X to Renderer". I have read the message boards, tried changing settings, avoided zooming out, etc.

I would certainly appreciate assistance

Sorry to hear about all these troubles. Can you send me your dxdiag file and your general.opt files (AJE\settings) in a single ZIP to pocus@ageod.net

Did this get resolved?

I've just upgraded to 103c and I'm getting this (again) - but see my other thread where I mentioned it. It is 4 emperors scenario too same as the OP here.

well it crashed several times more so I installed on a win 8 laptop and it lasted a bit longer but still crashed. I'll try some of the solutions mentioned elsewhere in this tech forum so no need to reply to this burst renderer thing.

Are you running the game as an administrator? I am in Windows 8 and got this message when I did not run as an administrator.
