I have compiled a list of all events and options in the Second Punic War. Enjoy:

Notes
- The events and options are sorted into groups by either geography or concept.
- Take heed of the difference between area and theaters.
- I suck at commas.

Let me know if you find anything out of sorts. I will try to keep it up to date.

Wow!

I'm going to ditch my current game of PON and fire up the Second Punic War. This most excellent event list just begs to be put to use.

Thank you Cardinal Ape for pulling back the curtins as Deus ex machina decends to the stage.

Outstanding work! Thank you so much. I wish a list like this were available for every title. Really useful, makes the game so much more transparent.

Nice piece of work; thanks for what is obviously a considerable and entirely selfless effort!

Thanks for your work!

I have to remark again how useful and appreciated your work here is.

I'd like to extend it to other scenarios and games. It would really benefit AGEOD. But I am not able to parse the game files well enough to be of help here. I know this is a really big ask, but it would be possible to create some sort of tutorial on how to put together a list like yours?

A pretty tall order indeed...

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words.

I intended to include some sort of brief summary of the events rather than just a wall of text, but things got pretty busy around here and I didn't have the time. At some point after summer is over I'd like to get back to it.

@TJD, I'm not sure if I can offer much help, sorry. I did not use a parsing program, it was by hand. If you have questions about how to read the events, I could lend a hand there.

Thanks for this fine list!

Two questions from the perspective of Roman side PBEM:

1. The Roman general named Scipio that starts the game - he is the one with the "5" for defense - is he also the same Scipio that will become Scipio Africanus later on? I noticed Scipio has an event that states he remains in the game and is not, like some of the other Roman generals who are consuls, traded in and out of the game. Is this THE Scipio?

2. If so, I just had Scipio and a ton of lesser but useful Roman leaders eliminated when a sieged force surrendered. I have noticed that in most AGEOD games, while a complete massacre in battle will result in the defeated leaders being scattered in locked state around the map, when a force surrenders in a siege the leaders of that force seem gone forever. Is that the case with HAN?

The Publius Cornelius Scipio that starts the game is not the same Publius Cornelius Scipio that defeated Hannibal. Africanus doesn't come till later in the war, around 210 if I remember right.

I'm not 100% sure how surrendering generals are handled in HAN, but if you can't find them hiding in a nearby city then they may be dead.

I didn't see any of them appear in any city, so I assume they are all gone for good. Good advice then is never let any leader be sieged, just let them get wiped out in combat so they reappear.
