Thumbs up!

Wed Sep 19, 2012 9:22 pm

Just wanted to say I'm greatly enjoying the game so far. When I got the link to unlock the preorder this afternoon I first thought "I guess I will execute a turn just to see how the game runs and maybe I'll actually start playing this weekend", from that I went to "maybe I should try playing a few turns now, I can spare an hour before I turn to other matters". Right now my thoughts are "bloody hell, I've been playing for 4-5 hours now, I have to go to sleep at some point today"...

In short, the game is very adictive and fun. I've played the first two years of the Roman Civil War (Caesar vs. Pompeius) and it's shear joy...

So thanks everyone for this great game...
Marc aka Caran...

This really has a catchy feel to it.

I'm so happy we're getting some 'ancients' stuff for the AGE engine and it fits the mood wonderfully.

After turning to credits page of the manual (Pg 94) and seeing who is involved (SEP AJE) I feel AJE is in very good hands indeed! These individuals are many of the most helpful and dedicated members of the forum. :)

All the best to 'EVERYONE' involved!!!!

Yeah great game! But I can't understand why the Judeans are in such a lather. Some people must not appreciate good roads and clean water.

Played a short Spartacus campaign as the Romans last night - worked very well.

My only slight complaint for that campaign would be that I had to play until the end, even though I had destroyed all Slave and Pirate forces with about 11 turns to go. I had allegedly conquered all my objectives, but only got a minor victory in the end. I think there may have been something hidden.

But I digress, this is not a bug report, the overall impression was very good and I thouroughly enjoyed myself.

This game is beautiful. It makes you think like an ancient general, and really recreates the feeling of the time. And it is easy to play, yet so deep. My congratulations to the team. You have create something to be proud of!

The only problem is that I want to play it all the time.

Played a few turns of Spartacus campaign as the bad guys and i am loving the game. Its a game to play slowly and enjoy each moment.

The scripted events are great, i am sure i will play each scenario again and again with all that strategic choices.

Good work, guys!

I'm loving the game so far. In fact, the tune ups and improvements that are in AJE might have pushed AACW out of my top spot. The scenarios are well laid out historically, lots of challenges against the AI, plus the events and options make each game different. Great job to the team on this one.

Way to go guys! Loads of fun so far! Although it's depressing that Kirk Douglas is pushing me around in southern Italia the way he is...I'm pathetic :( :D
