Comrade Nikel, thanks for sticking with this AAR! Hopefully everything will get implemented in the near future and I can get back to creating the communist/socialist/anarchist utopia at the point of the bayonet! I am committed to finishing this AAR as soon as possible - only 24 turns to go, I think...

Comrade Ripster, I look in daily in the hope that the organs of Forum reform will have corrected the assorted issues that the new Forum have brought to AGEOD. Fingers crossed Comrade, the corrections are out of our hands, which we can only wring in anticipation of your narrative moving forward.

Thank you for the kind words and your continued encouragement, Master Random. I have returned to a state of Zen awaiting the completion of the new forum apparatus, after losing my cool several times. And I remain committed to finishing the AAR because I do enjoy it but also because RUS is a really fine game that deserves a broader audience.

Ripster8 wrote:Comrade Nikel: Glad to see the images are back. But I still haven't figured out how to post screenshots in the new forum. When I click 'img' to insert a screenshot it looks like the forum is asking for a URL: "img]http://image_url[/img". I only post screenshots from my computer and not through a third party image hosting site so I can't continue at this point. But it is possible that I am too stupid to figure it out for myself and require additional assistance...

I have edited your last post to include the images inline like before... so this should be working now.
I see two buttons below PREVIEW and SUBMIT that say: OPTIONS and ATTACHMENTS... if you do not see the ATTACHMENTS button, then you are probably missing some permissions, will look into that again. :gardavou:

Thank you, Generalissimo, for your work on the forum. Right now I see the buttons 'options' and attachments' but when I try to add one of my standard JPEG screenshot files (334KB) it says the file is too large. My JPEG screen shots are in the 300-800KB range so that means I still can't continue this AAR. I look forward to doing it soon, however!

Ok, let me see that.. probably the limit is way too low on the new forum... :non:

Ok, I have set it at the same size as the old forum (roughly 2 MB) ... so your images should be accepted again. :gardavou: :niark:

Have four RAC's attempting to hold the Volga Line, protect Azov and Novocherkassk, and herd the remaining White force south. We'll see how it all turns out!

Farther east KOMCOR Berzin is fighting to hold Sarapul and then take the factory at Izhevsk. Reinforcements are heading his way.

Thanks Generalisimo :)

Is it possible to add to the quick links the option of new posts or last day posst while not logged in? This was possible in the old forum.

Welcome back Ripster! :)

The moustache man, Mamontov, was a cossack commander during the Great War. Hi is known in the RCW for the Mamontov's raid, a cossack cavalry offensive that attacked red rearguard while preparing an offensive against the eastern whites. However his force also looted the countryside, he has not this "ability" in the game.

Later Wrangler would accuse him of criminal inactivity after been crushed by the red first cavalry army.

Nevertheless in the screenshot what can he do with 400 men?

Crimea looks like a mouse trap for the remnants of the white troops!

Why nothing happens in the Caucasus?

Comrade Nikel, it is good to be back on the warpath again! I got all the old screenshots (that Generalissimo was kind enough to reload) back into their proper places in previous posts and am now moving forward to victory! Regarding the Caucasus, I am moving four Red Army Corps into the region as we speak, but it is a secondary theater to the west and the Crimea. Things are heating up along the Volga, too, so this AAR still has some life in it, I hope!

Attacks are going in at Ekaterinodar, Armavir and in Courland. Berzin is attacking a small White force west of the Volga. Frunze is assaulting Sevastapol. The Red Tide rolls onward!

A very bloody battle, one of several in the area. Tuk's corps is battered and must withdraw to Vilnius to refit...I guess that fact didn't make Pravda.

In other events:
- Stuka will pull back to Jelgava as White forces are threatening his supply line.
- Frunze will attack to clear the rest of the Crimean Peninsula once garrisons are in place and the weather clears.
- Egorov finally takes Berdjiansk and will move northwest into the Ukraine.
- Kuban is falling rather easily at this point although White partisans are a bit of a problem. I may have to start 'Suppression' RDCs but I hate to lose national morale!
- Berzin pulls back to Sarapul in the face of numerous small White forces.
- Western White CP is at 27%; Eastern White CP is 61%.

You should see the Cossack division in the Baltics! The Whites have obviously developed a teleportation device, just as the Reds now have a cloning facility (remember the duplicate KOMCOR Slabin from earlier).

No, just the one clone - KOMCOR Slabin, one of which is still a Corps commander on the Volga, the other is assigned to SOVNARKOM and kept under very close guard...
