I can translate his biography(I will do it thoroughly from 1917 and onwards for the sake of space):

Was born in a noble family. Participated in revolutionary work as a high school student, in 1912-1916 was educated in the Energetic Institute of St. Petersburg. In 1916 was taken in the army, and in August went to Ensign School(schools that would be responsible of giving a accelerated military education). In December for participation in revolutionary acitivity, he was expelled without receiving the rank of an ensign(he received it only in May 1917) and was sent to the 3rd Reserve infantry regiment in Petergof.

In 1917 propagandist of the Petrograd Committee of the RSDRP(Russian Social-Democratic Workers Party?), member of the RSDRP and the Revolutionary Committee of the Romanian Front. Lenin mentioned in one of his speeches ensign(junior lieutenant) Krusser that has been arrested for his speech in the troops on the front in Skulyana. From March 1918 he was a Commisar watching over the Inspector of Artillery of the 8th Army. From April 1918 he was the "Helper" of the Army Commander of the 5th Don Army. In September-October he served in the Voronezh Cheka, in November he became the head of the "Military Control" department of the staff of the 10th Army.

In 1919, secretary of the collegiate of the NkVD of Ukraine, member of the Supreme Revolutionary Tribunal of the Ukrainian SSR, People's Commissar of the Bessarabia SSR, then the People's Commissar on military affairs of the Bessarabia SSR(whose government was located in Odessa). Member of the Central Executive Commission of the Ukrainian SSR.

8 June 1919, after the removal of Makhno from command, the place of the commander of the 3rd Zadnepr( translates as beyond Dnepr) fusilier brigade was given to head of the military area Krusser. 9 June he issued an order proclaiming himself as the commander. Died on the night of 9-10 June 1919 when his armored train was caught under machine gun fire.

Comment: Magnificent example of the Red army commander: in the days of the Czar he couldn't make it to even the rank of an ensign, while in 1919 he became a head of a brigade! No military education whatsoever, but so much loyalty to the Red cause!

Рекомендую второй фотоснимок по причине, что он был опубликован в черновицком издании "Gazeta Bucovinenilor"
11 ноября 1918 года, а посему в совершенной степени соответствует обыгрываемому в REDS времени.

Translation:

The proper image for Romanian general I.Zadik(that is supposed to be Jacob Zadik). It comes from a newspaper dated 11 November 1918, so it is precisely what is needed for the game.
This is for models and units that represent: ROM I. Zadik

Next post:
Sergei Konstantinovich(means son of Konstantine) Matsiletsky(RED S.K. Matsiletsky). On the first photo he is the man sitting in the centre.

Syrovodka would aslo like to offer to replace the image of Ukrainian general Miron Tarnavskiy(in the game he does not have the right name, he is with the wrong first name: UKR V. Tarnavskyi)

Next: Partisan Jacob Ivanovich(son of Ivan) Triapitsyn(RED Triapitsyn). He is on the last photo of the post.

Sweet. I've already added the images from the last compilation you did, but it'll be cool to actually get everything into the official patch.

Have you considered doing a bit with RoP? It looks like people are posting a few new images already. Those generic portraits with no eyes or mouth creep me out.

thanks for the support Stonewall,
Andatiep and Lodilefty ( also the leaders above) have been great allowing Graphics to be put into the official patch; that saves the hassles that come when doing a clean install.
Some people don't want to be bothered installing mods anyway so it's much better for them as well. As for ROP I haven't really looked into that; the guys that were modding that game were really doing a great job. We'll see what happens and yes those images with no eyes are 'Creepy'.

all the best!

Well, i have these two for Tarnavskiy
There is also another in "The Austro-Hungarian forces in World War I (1) 1914-1916 p41, but alas i've misplaced my camera-if anyone else should have a copy and knows how to get an image from it that is perhaps the most RUS style portrait (its even in an oval shape)

I know there are a few other Ukrainians around here, we'd be obliged to provide more data, historical opinions, possible decisions and unit compositions if need be-to compliment the excellent work of the Devs and Contributors

Here are the images above for in game use....thanks to syrovodka for the images. An installation read-me is included in the zip. Note you don't have to use all the images, you can use images you like. I will personally keep the current Zinoviev because of image quality but the others are an improvement IMHO. Bliumberg is the only 'new' leader which means he needs his 2 MDL files updated. With the others you can just swap out the graphic files.(sorry I have not verified in-game yet but they all should work.)

Here is a photo of Gaia Dmitrievich Gai, commander of the IIIth Cavalry Corps of Tukhachevsky's Army during the Polish-Russian War. His cavalry corps repeatedly outflanked successive Polish defensive lines in the drive from Minsk to Warsaw. However it was destroyed during the final Polish counterattack. (Not destroyed, interned in Prussia.)

(As far as I can tell, he is not in the game unless under a different name. Yet he was in the civil war from the beginning and reached both army and corps command. )

From Here: http://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/Gaia+Dmitrievich+Gai
Gai, Gaia Dmitrievich

(pseudonym of Gaik Bzhishkian). Born Feb. 6 (18), 1887, in Tebriz; died Dec. 11, 1937. Hero of the Civil War, corps commander (1935). Joined the Communist Party in 1918. Son of a teacher.

Gai became active in the revolutionary movement in 1903. In 1918, at the head of units that he had formed, he fought against White Czechs and Dutov’s White Cossack troops and commanded the 24th Rifle Division, which liberated Simbirsk and which was named the Samara-Ul’ianov Iron Division. From December 1918 until June 1919 he was commander of the First Army of the Eastern Front and then of the 42nd Rifle Division and the First Caucasian Wild Cavalry Division on the Southern Front. In the Soviet-Polish War of 1920, Gai was commander of the III Cavalry Corps, which operated successfully on the right flank of the Western Front. In August 1920 the corps covered the retreat of the Fourth Army and was interned in East Prussia. In 1922, Gai was people’s commissar of military and naval affairs of Armenia; after that he taught military affairs and did scholarly work. In 1933, Gai became professor and chief of the department of the history of wars and the art of warfare at the N. E. Zhukovskii Air Force Academy. He was awarded two Orders of the Red Banner.

Jack, I think it is the same man. I did a search on Ghai-Khan and found this:

http://books.google.com/books?id=o3FWGRxVlSYC&pg=PA156-IA3&lpg=PA156-IA3&dq=Ghai-Kahn+1920&source=bl&ots=FWWDP_vRHS&sig=Yc0SALRmkBVAQpNWVjD0kGpRRJU&hl=en&sa=X&ei=JE9kU9jWBdSjyATS0ICIDQ&ved=0CC0Q6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=Ghai-Kahn%201920&f=false

Note the name under the photo is Ghai Demetrevich-Ghai Khan. Ghai Demetrevich is very similiar to Gaia Dmitrievich. And Ghai Khan vs Gai. Facial appearance is also very similiar. More than likely the same man but different spellings.
