In my current game I see rather strange brigade pictures that are very misleading, to be precises it's the NATO symbol and the unit picture that are the problem.

First example shows conscript symbols although the units are all line infantry.

Second shows a 1-star general although he is 2-star.

And a different problem is that sometimes the pictures of the unit are wrong.
Like in this example were you see a wrong black uniform on the brigade picture but the unit detail window and if dissolve also in the unit panel you see a different uniform:

Something seems to not update correctly because I can dissolve the division and put it back together and the general shows up correctly as 2-star, but that trick doesn't work for the conscript units or for the wrong unit pictures.

I recently noticed the same playing with reds.

I think the quirk happens when elements are trained or generals promoted.
The division composition display that appears over the minimap when you put the mouse over the divison on the unit panel keeps using the original image instead of the new trained element image.

It is generic representation of model pics but models do not match with elements on the right side. But elements on the right side correct ones. It was always like that long time ago.

Well I can't remember seeing this in other games like ROP, CW2, NCP, etc..

PS arsan is right, the problem usually start with elements being trained or generals being promoted.

I would be very surprised if it wasn't about upgrades...
