Detailed battle reports

I is it possible add info about what opposing units are being engaged by your own units in every round?
This would bring a lot of immersion but also useful data for the commander.
Another thing is it would allow visual battle representation in AARs, i was thinking about starting one but it takes more time to sort out the battle logs than to draw up a battle map.
