Something I just noticed. The Brunswick faction in the 1756 grand campaign starts with 1 elite replacement, can't build depot grenadier units, and doesn't get any more elite chits through events or anything. (at least I haven't gotten any new ones yet and I'm in May 1758) My Brunswickian Grenadiers are all almost dead and can't be replenished.

Prussia either needs to be able to build Brun gr depot units or the game needs to add 1 or 2 chits at the end of every year or so. It'd also be nice to have more than the 2 Brunswick generals. The Prussians don't have any international commanders so the extra Brun units can't be put into brigades.

Well, as me and France are locked in our death throws in the west, I've noticed the Hessians have the same problem of not being able to replace grenadiers. I haven't been watching them as closely, but I'm pretty sure they started with 1 elite chit and haven't gotten anymore either.

I'm pretty sure that both the Hessians and Brunswickers used to be able to build elite replacements, but not until a little way into the game IIRC.

I confirm this. In my last PBEM 1756-1763 campaign I could build Brunswick and Hessian depot grenadier btns starting 1758.

Just got them for the first time in Early January 1759. Seems a bit late. Most of my grenadier elements are dead. Beginning of 1758 would be better. Why is there a restriction at all?

I'm also out of Hessian Heavy Cav and Brunswick Light infantry and didn't get any at the start of 1759.
