Incorrect NM calculation from battle?

I think this thread needs splitting into two.
One for problems with replacements and the NM hit associated with the destruction of elements, and another seperate thread to do with the wrong calculation of NM after a battle that seems to occur occasionally. Those battles where you are told that you have lost but you can clearly see that you have actually won and the NM has in fact gone up and not down.

Actually, I think both subjects can benefit from a clean start. ICan someone who feels he has a good overview start a new thread for each, with a first post providing a summary of the issue's discussion so far?

To be honest, I don't know how exactly I'd split this thread in two suitable discussions
