Sat Jan 22, 2011 10:44 pm

There were no battles this turn as the combatants sat in winter quarters continuing to observe the Christmas truce. On the FI front, the total blockade has backfired on Johnny, with a whopping +14 towards FI, bringing it to 55 now.

Turn 24 Synopsis

Sun Mar 27, 2011 2:34 am

Farragut + 2 divisions sail from Norfolk to Ft. Monroe, where Bory's corps plans an assault. Most of the rest of the CSA ANV moves towards Norfolk in preparation for next turn. This leads to 1 major battle for the turn. What you can't tell from the battle report is that the 2 divisions never have time to offload from their ships and help defend the fort. The CSA captures the fort this turn.

The union has cut off Richmond's land communication with the rest of the confederacy.

It's amazing how many CSA generals were congratulated for such a large failure. The CSA took a whopping 36,000 casualties vs. the Union's 14,000. That is over 2.5 to 1. And they did not capture the territory. The union kept the field.
