The Flying Dutchman

Tue Apr 14, 2020 5:09 pm

I have a powerful French naval force off the coast of Wales and Ireland transporting a strong French army.

However, when I try to use the Distant Unload order in England, Wales, Ireland, or in any part of the world for that matter, I get the following message, “Illegal region chosen. No railway connection or lack of control.”

Why can’t I launch an amphibious assault? Are my land forces doomed to sail the 7 seas and never set foot on shore again?

Never mind - problem solved -

England had made peace, I was so wrapped up in my cross channel attack, I didn't notice.

Yep, only reason ever, that is, you must be at war (or landing in a friendly power's land).
