I downloaded it, but now I get an Adaptive Game Engine box that demands my key code. I looked all over the house, found my old Paradox box with the key code. Then when I put it in, I'm told that it's wrong. I'll keep at it, the game is worth it.

the problem is the last patch can't be applied to games bought via Paradox. Apparently they completely messed up the keys (could add this is just one of the many things they did to undermine PoN) and Matrix/Slitherine decided they couldn't carry on with the situation.

this has affected a lot of people (incl me), not sure there is any solution apart from to rebuy via Matrix?

This is the last patch in Ageod FTP from October 2016, perhaps your serial works with it.
