Will there be a PON remake using the Empires engine?

Nobody reads in the future :)

First, Empires need to be a decent success, at the very least. Once that is done (hopefully) then we have no 'prohibited subject', so among others, yes, a game set in the Victorian era is always a possibility!

+1

PON needs to live on in a new stable / robust engine so it can claim the glory it so rightly deserves !

Would it be possible to create two product lines ?
Grand strategy product line, like this new title and the old PON.
Then a separate operational art of war product line, (third partie?), redoing the old ageod titles.

I think that we, the fans, need to petition Slitherine to throw more programming resource help to AGEOD and stop tinkering around with Space Ships, Orcs and Unicorns :D

Well, Orcs (Orks!) are nice in Gladius. I like very much the smell of their crisp skin burning in the morning (I like to play Space Marine, only for the lore).

True.

I held off on Gladius until they came out with Chaos.

40k with Imperium but no Chaos adversary is like Ying without Yang.

But it will have to wait since I just invested my Steam gift card on FOG : E ;)

After a brief look, it seems that PON II could find a home on this new engine - but the Trade part would need less generalization than FOG : E and lean more towards the depth of the original system ....

And not sure how research would be shoe horned in to a 19th century game.

After playing a Pike and Shot scenario of Civil War battles, I hope that there is a Civil War game with those types of tactical battles. And buying of weapons of different types. Kind of like Forge of Freedom, but better.

There are tons of games with tactical battles, games combining operational and strategic levels, such as the classic ageod titles, are what are the rare gems.
War in the East II is coming out but the age of musket scene is looking bleak if ageod stops doing these games for good.

Well, FOG:E is doing very well so hats off to you! I will second Gilmer and throw my hat in the ring for a Civil War game next!

Will new games continue using age engine or new one as in empires ?
well, i dont mind using old one (which is running way faster on my pc, empires one is going very slow once is there A LOT of population.
Or at least make patch which will pon playable on 4k monitors - but that will need alternative fonts.

anything will be on the new engine, remember that AGEOD is now effectively just one person so I really doubt any work on the older games (unless others pick up the licences etc).

The advantage of the new game engine compensate for this, there is support for elements such as MP, graphics etc from elsewhere

Hi RebelYell, I have restarted my Youtube video with Field of Glory:Empires. Oh, actually, I played the Pike and Shot scenario 1683 Vienna from the Holy League side. That was really only a 4-5 video short, but it is still what I restarted with.
