A VERY interesting and important Strategy guide has begun in the Paradox forums.

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?539829-Pride-of-Nation-s-Strategy-Guide-Overview-and-General-Strategies

Fundamental, IMHO

This is a very good place to post the PDF, no problem :)

There are more traffics at Paradox because the community is bigger, and this is good for PON... But we are still there, as the veterans of past games.

Yeah, me too ! :neener:

I think that AFTER reading the manual, AARs and all available guides, I will start small, probably with Italy. But I will have to tackle the USA...I am dying to see how the civil war will play :D

Oh but before the civil war, you'll have to deal with the original owners of America!

Quick start guide

Mon Jun 06, 2011 1:30 am

I'm not new to this, played EUIII, HOI3, and of course AACW,
BOA2 etc.

But this one......yikes.....seems to me like theres ALOT to look
at......every turn.

I'd like to know if anybody has seen a QUICKSTART guide,
the kind that tells you, ok, you have to do such and such
and here's how. Then it's important you do this or that,
here's how you do it. Some kind of priority list or something.
I don't know where to start.

I

That strategy guide will give you a pretty good idea.

The key is to not try to do everything at once and think long term.

Thanks for the kudos guys! Glad to see everyone is getting something out of it.

The plan is to update this as folks play, with hints, etc. for gameplay. PON is not an easy game--massively fun and rewarding, but EASY it ain't :D

Also planning (with PhilThib and Pocus' ok) to do a cheat sheet for industry/farms/mines (what produces what, and how much you need to make it run). After that...tech :)

I'm hoping to add a guide to colonization as soon as possible.
