Franco Prussian War - Engagement range zero

Mon Jun 05, 2023 6:48 pm

Hello all,
I'm playing a bit of the Franco Prussian war scenario to start to get back into this game.

I've noticed that in virtually all of the battle reports, the range at which my French troops engage the enemy is showing as zero in the battle reports, whilst the Prussians are engaging at ranges 1-10.

Update: I just tested playing as the Prussians and it appears to be something that's happening to the French troops even when they're controlled by the AI.

Has anyone seen this or have any idea what could cause engagement range to be zero for France so often?

Or even have any advice on how to work out why this is happening?

Hi Bohemond, apologies for the long delay in response on this.

I've zipped the save files from the Pride of Nations folder here.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n2g8p4 ... p=drivesdk

This is playing as the Prussians; there's an attack order queued up that should result in some battles and the summary reports always seem to show the French engaging at range zero.

Please let me know if you spot anything explaining this!
Thanks

I did play a few turns with several battles.
It is not a display bug, if you have a look at battleLog.txt (VGN/Logs folder), you will see that French units are not firing at range above 0.
Really weird, I will make some tests with others short scenarios

Regards
