Cannot move to Vittorio Veneto - not path from adjacent

Possible bug:

I couldn't move armies from either Oderzo or Belluno into Vittorio Veneto on my 2nd turn in the small Italy scenario.


I've attached the two save game files in a zip.

No bug. It seems you are playing in strict turn-based mode or army-by-army activation mode. When playing in these modes, you cannot attack a stack that have been already involved in battle or a location where a battle has already taken place, unless during army reactions. This is why you cannot enter Vittorio Veneto. :)

Odd.

I turned that off previously. It flipped back on??

Really.. I had no army activation buttons on the first turn, nor different phases other than first interphase - it all ran in WEGO. :blink:

I see some armies marked in yellow (it means they fought during the turn and they won) or brown (it means they fought during the turn and they lost).
If you played in WEGO mode, movements were performed all together, the turn ended and all battles were resetted.

Instead I see that battles are yet stored in your save:

So how you got such a weird result???

Maybe you started the game in strict turn-based mode and then you reverted to WEGO???

When you start a game in one way, you are supposed to keep playing so, otherwise strange things like this can happen.

However, remove all saved battles as follows and the probel should be solved:

Yeah, maybe I started the game and then shut it off. I could've sworn I had shut those options off a scenario or two before this but I'll continue to investigate.


Although I didn't see options in the main menu to turn them off beforehand. Do I need to load up a scenario, turn the army activaton turn things off, then exit & restart scenario when I switch between the modes?

Edit: I did have a few attacks planned already that turn when I made this save (which hadn't been resolved yet after end turn button).

When you start a scenario with a given play-configuration, you have simply requested to continue playing so.

Then if you start a new scenario, you can change the play-configuration...
