Game Freezing during battles

Sat Jan 03, 2009 2:27 am

Has anyone else experienced the game freezing at the end of a battle?

I'm running the game on the 1.0.5.c patch, windows vista, with 2GB of RAM.

I'm playing CP, in grand campaign. I just completed about the 5th battle. The battle resolved successfully, but once I click go to next battle the game locked up. This happened twice in a row.

Very fustrating...I want to enjoy this game, but I'm getting fed up with all the glitches.

Could you please send us a savegame? What campaign (2 or 4 players) are you playing?

Phil, thanks for responding. I'm playing 2P version because I read, I think, that 4P wasn't quite ready for play yet.

I've tried attached the August 1914 ".sav" file but it won't let me attach it. The file extension isn't listed as an acceptable type for attachment. Is there someother file I should be looking for?

i had problems with the game freezing in battle.

i found that it rarely freezes if i disconnect from the internet and disable my antivirus and firewall.

even then i would get an occasional freeze, so i went into services and disabled themes, so i run windows classic theme instead of the xp theme. this saved enough resources so i can run the game on my old computer (over 5 years old) without any freezes or crashes at all.

hope this helps.

Ok, I will try the attached saved games very soon.
Please note that the new patch 1.05D is virtually done, and I fixed a lot of bugs... included crashes... ;)
