CTD in August 1914 combat

August 1914 turn playing the CP with Plan Rupprecht in the West. Italy has joined CP. A lot of battles occurring - at least a dozen (several more with interceptions, counterattacks, and breakthroughs) across all fronts. Just can't get through the combat phase.

At some point (not the same one each time) I invariably get an "experiencing a problem" message and CTD. Tried at least a dozen times - no dice.

I don't know whether this is associated with the installation glitch I've noted in another post, or whether it's a stand-alone problem. Again, some help would be appreciated.

I think there is a combat bug with counterattacks, Calvinus will fix it in 1.05c

I might also note that i get these "experiencing a problem" messages whenever the Germans go to siege Antwerp in the August pre-turn. I see the message "Siege is delayed" at the top, click the Go to Next Battle button, and kaboom, crash.

Edit: This is in 1.05b, mind.
