Is there no hotseat opportunity in this game?

I and my wife would like to play together and we regard the computer game as an excellent alternative to the cardboard version. However, is playing against a human opponent only possible through internet? Is there no way for playing the game sitting in front of the same machine?

The only way I have found is to play head to head with two machines (e.g. you sit on the desktop and your wife on the laptop). Look at the third thread from the top in this forum ("Back to this game after some time") for my own efforts to do that. It's got some bugs but it's doable if you save often.

Thanks Paul, but in this case I think we'll go back to a Vassal or ADC2 module of the cardboard game.
