I suspect something is wrong with the trans-Atlantic connections; no Europeans have reported problems with any downloads, while some North Americans have.
I actually meant where your computer is located. The server itself is fast but the way to it through the internet might have to pass some bottleneck. From Germany the connection is perfect.

Tried to download from your new source but it took so long that the link expired at about 75%. Never had a problem directly from the AGEOD site before.
Tried the AGEOD source again and it quits before it completes. The resulting file is then corrupt ??

The first few times I d/led it, it was slow, and the end result was it would not unzip. I tried much later, and the d/l speed was faster, and it came through fine.

I think the manual is to be corrected, because the first Events phase is in September, so that the first technological researchs tests are done in that moment, so in September 1914, not in October.
