Install problem

Sat Mar 12, 2011 11:10 am

I have the game for quiet a while and I was able to run it before with no problems at all.
But now.
It does not install automatically from the disk. The disk seems to have no. dammage so
If I run it manually it installs, but avira says install exe is corrupted
Avira Age setting.EXE PCK/Execryptor
The game installer then says that the serial number does not have the expected lenght, but it never asked me to to insert the number before.
An other message I get is
T File PARSER. Pre Load Error on loading file: /general. opt.
Where can I insert the serial number?
What am I to do with that avira?

I have exactly the same problem with both Birth of America and Wars in America, on Windows 7 (they ran OK on my previous PC under WinXP).
I am a little afraid to shoot down Avira Antivir before to re-try installation.

Regards.

Execryptor was our old protection scheme, that obfuscated some the the main EXE parts to prevent hacking. We have abandoned this protection since some patches, so just update your game and it should be good.
