A trained Provo unit should not disband.

To be a trained unit, >50% of the basic TOE elements must be trained.

The TOE is 4 elements

So, a Provo unit with 2 trained elements is still subject to disbanding. Once a third element is trained, the unit convverts to trained and should not disband.

FYI, this 50% rule applies also in AWI for the Continentals.....

If you see a Provo unit with 3+ trained elements disband, please send saved game to support@ageod.com

In previous patch versions I had the same experience with provincial troops which were trained with all four elements and disbanded at the end of the year. I must explain that I had until that situation in around 1780 a whole lot of trained provincials in the South with Rawdon and in the North with Schmidt and later with O´Hara as British player. I assumed that you could only have a certain limit of trained provincials on British side, but if you are sure that this should not happen then there is a bug.
I had this often happen in my past games but as I now playing again WIA I had not seen it until now as I remember. Only some Militia with two provincial elements are disbanded sofar I know. But I will regard that the next time.

Sorry, I was looking at the FIW disband rather than AWI. :o

Provos are subject to disband and AutoRaise in the AWI, so yes they can and will disband, but can also AutoRaise in the spring

Base disband probability for Trained Provo [actually the units are called Colonial Regiments in AWI]units is 5%, modified in the usual ways [out of home region, unit count above base allowances, not garrisoning a VP location in home region]

...for comparison: Untrained Colonial Regiments base disband is 15%, Tory militia are 20-25%

So disbanding is WAD for AWI.
Thank you for the saved game. :)
