The version 0.96 is currently being beta tested. Most of the work deals now with some minor events typo and campaigns testing.

Hok (Florent Quesnel), the project leader, has announced that the release of the version 0.99 is imminent.

The team is on time. Stay tuned and most importantly spread the good news!

Cheers,

Korrigan

Are those of us whose currency currently sucks really going to get hit hard on this one? :bonk:

Also, I guess a new demo is probably in the works? The one thing I know about AGEOD is that they are the BEST at selling their products through EXCELLENT demos!

BTW, how far is AGEOD's offices from Marseille? I'll be in Marseille from October to next July, and I just might like to travel around... maybe pop in for a visit at the release of Vainglory... :siffle:

Our offices are in Grenoble, it's a 2h20 trip by train (TGV) from Marseille.

Pocus is based in Lyon (1h45).

You won't see anything worth impressing you I'm afraid, but you are more than welcome if you like.

Cheers,

Ah zut alor, I was hoping for a diplomatic envoy and official reception! :cwboy:

I hear that Grenoble is a very pretty city and very near Voiron, where those monks make the famous and extremely potent Grande-Chartreuse!

Good luck finishing the game and a very happy Bastille Day to you all in a few weeks!

Really, really, really looking forward to this game.

Question about the release. Would it be midnight on Thursday (technically July 4), or not until morning on Friday? Just curious. And I realize you guys are on a different time zone than me (East Coast USA).

Thanks, looking forward to what I'm sure will be the best Ageod game yet!

If no technical problem, release will be available at midnight on Thursday (French time).

Am very curious about this new Hok guy entering the Age engine... when a new dev enters, if he's closely attached to the original dev, he's always up for some good trick!

Go Hok, go !!!!

I'm trying to be 'little Gray'. 'little Clovis' may come later...

..of course, you also get Arsan, Cat_Lord, dooya, lightfantastic, Moustic, Muddymonkey77, Primasprit, Rafiki, Reiryc, Runyan99, Stwa, Sunray, Tagwyn, Tarakoja, Teufel0331, TheDeadeye who have contributed so much....

Hey all -- thought I'd chime in.

1) Will BOA2 be made available via download only, or will one be able to order a disc upon release as well? Personally I prefer a disc install.

2) How much will the game cost in US $?

3) What are the "recommended" system reqs for this title?

I have never played BOA1 but with all the hype in the community I cannot help but be curious, at least. :)

Yep, these guys have been amazing. The BoA2 Beta team has been one of the best beta team ever. Even better than the famous ACW beta team IMHO. They were all huge BoA 1 fans with an excellent knowledge of the engine and of the period, and they have been obviously been capitalising on previous experience.

Kudos to them, and many thanks to their coordinator :coeurs: LODILEFTY :coeurs:

Hok and Celtic have enjoyed excellent beta testing conditions to work on.

Cheers,

Korrigan

Not sure, but I can say this:

BoA2 ran just as well on my computer as BoA1. Turn processing is much better with BoA2. It does a lot more, and it does it faster.

The map has many more regions, but (on my system) it scrolls better than the old BoA1 map.

+1, and my computer is 5 year old laptop. Not much 'guts'...

Great -- sounds like similar specs for AACW, which means I can more than handle this game.

What about my other 2 questions?
