How do I move the game?

Sat Jan 04, 2014 8:12 pm

I am getting a new secondary hard drive for my desktop PC. I'm already planning to move my Steam games there and am looking to move some of my other games too. But programs in Win7 can't simply be moved willy-nilly and still work.

Do I have to re-install any non-Steam games I want to move? And do I need to get rid of the initial installs before I do?

Well, Ageod games can be moved by copy and paste and still run (if you do a shortcut on the executable new location), now this will make the registry not up to date, so you'll have to indicate manually where is the game the next time you want to patch...
Basically, because of the registry, all Windows app (since much before Seven) can't be simply moved...
