Some times ago I edited and posted some Synopsis from public domain music to be used with Il-2.

Three of them have been edited over Napoleonic Age marches:


Fields of Glory Synopsis is a remix of French, Prussian and British Armies traditional marches. Fields of Glory Synopsis has been edited experincing a new 3-D, surround process. If you have a multi channels Audio processor and a surround speakers suite, 4.1 or superior, you can experience the effect of sitting at the center of the "field", with sounds from marching bands moving all around, now closing, later moving away till completely dissolve. The sound-track, has been edited using tracks of public domain available in the net. The present Il-2 compatible version is a Wave, (MPEG Layer-3), 56kbps, 24 kHZ stereo, 8.04MB audio file. Prussian Synopsis is a remix of original Prussian military marches. The sound-track, has been edited using tracks of public domain available in the net. The present Il-2 compatible version is a Wave, (MPEG Layer-3), 56kbps, 24 kHZ stereo, 6.87MB audio file. Have fun JastaV

The Wave, (MPEG Layer-3), 56kbps, 24 kHZ stereo standard I used was compatible with Il-2, but many programs quickly allow to transform them to an MP3 standard compatible with NCP.

Hopefully someone will ahve time to make a music addon that will be nation specific as it would be nice to have only French music while playing with them and vice versae when playing with the coalition (not a mix of all)

I have to searth for in my PC "preferred sites" web-links: some time ago I catched some Russian site offering tons of "historical, military, patriotic" songs & marches from all the world and many ages. all for free download.
