OK, here they are again.

Thanks arsan and jastaV for testing them! :coeurs: :coeurs: :coeurs:

They have been sent to PhilThib too, so probably will be made official. This will take some time, so if you want to try them, here they are. Just unzip the file in your "Napoleon's campsigns\NCP" folder. There are new mdl files that will overwrite the old ones.

Forgot to mention that the new russian portraits author was Geo Dawe (1823-1825). They are in Saint Peterburg, Winter Palace War Gallery.

Edit: link deleted, portraits included in the patch 1.05a

I'm interested to Hessen-Homburg family generals serving with Austrian Army.
In particular I'll be glad to see a portrait for Hessen-Homburg II.

I was not able to get any portrait from the net. :p leure:

I had better luck with biographic informations :niark: :

Thanks Pocus.

But the merit is of the original painter. I just make them compatible with the game ;)

jastaV, thanks. But this was supposed to be a PhilThib's work :niark: ;)

And thanks AGEod team. It seems that I have been upgraded :king:

As you are suggesting some austrian generals, I have started searching for them.

Unfortunately, so far the search is not very lucky, just a pair and bad quality :(

But of course, will keep on trying :) .

About Hessen-Homburg II, who is he. The fact that some generals have no names complicates searching a lot :grr: :niark: Here there are 4 H-H

http://www.napoleon-series.org/research/biographies/Austria/AustrianGenerals/c_AustrianGeneralsH.html

And the new you are adding for your campaign are even rarer and more difficult to find!

No problem here arsan, I use Kaspersky Internet Security. What is exactly detecting?

About the portraits, they are of better quality at the wikipedia and the russian page already posted (the same in both places), just in case you missed them jastaV, you can brwose them here

http://www.museum.ru/museum/1812/Persons/russ/list_a.html

http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Категория:Российские_командиры_наполеоновских_и_революционных_войн

Of course they are in russian, but just for the portraits are better.

For transliteration to the latin alphabet I used this link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic_alphabet

If I just could find similar pages for the austrians and the prussians :p leure:

Thanks for the kind words lukasberger. I just modify the original portraits for the game ;)

Of course if the source portrait is in full color and of high resolution the results will be much much better.

If you look at the screenshots in this thread, sure you will notice the differences between the ones that fit this description and the others, black and white that I have "painted" (color added) :niark:

About the english generals, my original idea was just to add french generals, as this is the side I play (and not a lot lately :siffle: ). But as you can see now there are more russians than frenchs ;) And more of both sides can be added. As I found some russian webpages with a lot of quality portrais of russian generals, a lot have been added to the game. French took more time because some are "painted".

The portraits are well received and will go official, so my plan is to review all of them (english included), and make the portrait if a decent source portrait is found, this will need time of course.

And thanks for the links! If you find good quality portraits do not hesitate in posting a link here! I will modify them for the game, promised ;)

I cannot see the first two ones fortunecity.com.... can you post the portraits themselves?

OK, for those interested here is the last update with some portraits more

Again, before retiring of my modding affair I would like to say thanks to AGEod for letting me be par of your team for some time.

Thanks to Jabberwock for answering questions so nicely :coeurs: , when started with this mod of the game.

Thanks to arsan too, "just" for been so nice :coeurs: :coeurs:

And of course to jastaV, that infected me with his enthusiasm :coeurs: :coeurs: :coeurs: , I can say now that a reason to start was that your artistic abilities were not very good :niark: You have others of course ;)

Hi
I seen that general Dedon-Duclos is not present in the game, despite portrait has been created by Nikel, is it normal ?

I can ask a favor, the general François Roguet is present intside game, but the portrait don't exist, anybody don't created his (however, he had a good tableau), :innocent:

You resurrected a very old thread! :)

I used the database as reference for the list of Commanders, but a number of the them is in the database but unused in the game, that is the reason, and the one you cite is not the only one.

And did not create Roguet in is time because could not find a portrait. 14 years ago the online references were less.

Hi Nikel
