Of course if the source portrait is in full color and of high resolution the results will be much much better.
If you look at the screenshots in this thread, sure you will notice the differences between the ones that fit this description and the others, black and white that I have "painted" (color added)
About the english generals, my original idea was just to add french generals, as this is the side I play (and not a lot lately
). But as you can see now there are more russians than frenchs
And more of both sides can be added. As I found some russian webpages with a lot of quality portrais of russian generals, a lot have been added to the game. French took more time because some are "painted".
The portraits are well received and will go official, so my plan is to review all of them (english included), and make the portrait if a decent source portrait is found, this will need time of course.
And thanks for the links! If you find good quality portraits do not hesitate in posting a link here! I will modify them for the game, promised
