Remark: New rules & the older games

Thu Oct 25, 2007 10:41 am

A remark about that. Even if AACW will be ready, as soon as 1.07f is published, to support AutoGarrisoning, Scorch Earth or Hardened Attrition rule, you should not publish a mod on that before the release of NCP + 2 weeks, roughly.

Why? Because people have a tendency to forget that what will be in AACW was a new feature of NCP, if you publish your mod before. This means they will take for granted the features in AACW, and bitch/moan about the lack of novelties of NCP...

Whereas it is the reverse philosophy: we provide for free support which include new rules in older games.

I think you get my point :)

'Tis a good one, too :)

I'll hold back on publishing anything about this at the wiki too.

(Not that I envisioned getting it in before the release of NCP anyway :( )
