Thanks RtG, looks very nice :w00t:

Now that I see some activity here in NCP...

To the volunteers and AGEod members, is NCP definitively dead? Or is it still possible some update?

I wouldn't say it's dead; more dormant, actually :)

But the lack of availability is a chronic problem for you ;)

So, if time comes will you do it yourself?

And sorry RtG, we hijacked a bit your thread :hat:

In all cases, your work is an excellent preliminary step to the minimum requirements for a NCP2 game... which would have a complete production system and a lot of the improvements requested by players (including the infamous diplomatic engine, which shall come with our next game, VGN)...

What major need we all feel since months in NCP is to streamline the various models of troops. At the moment (and the cards show well), there are too many discrepancies in sizes, strength, values, etc... much more than in our previous or other games...this creates some kind of inbalance... and makes it almost impossible to build a balanced production system for the game..

Isnt this a problem of the period, rather than a gaming challenge? I dont see how you could create a diplomatic and production system without sacrificing the iconic campaigns of the later period like Russia and 1813/14 (I suppose they would remain in the game as scenarios.) But the discrepencies in size, strength and values are precisely what makes the game so interesting. Other Napoleonic games like Cossacks and Imperial Glory have units that are too generic, and I think if you sacrificed the unit variety that exists in NC it would end up losing its essence and flavour.
