three errors worth fixing...

Tue May 27, 2008 5:32 am

Installed the mod, 61, 62, 63, update, the lone CSA general, then the 1.10 update... Starting the game, there are three errors that results in a critical error message and a game crash: these are as follows:

CSA General Rodes: spelling mistake in tech_upgrade
USA General Schofield: spelling error on name and tech_upgrade

General error of UID1001.. the lone CSA general (don't remeber the name, that has UID1021... changing his UID to 1001 fixed this error)

Anyway, with these errors fixed, this mod is truly awesome!!!!

Sorry for the slow reply, I missed the first message somehow.

1. Not this weekend. I will set aside time this week to get it done.

2. About half the graphics (older versions) are included in any patch after 1.07e. The other half need to be downloaded, and are current up to the file change in the 1.10 series. When I get the change made, I will send copies to Pocus for the next patch.

Mon Jun 30, 2008 3:47 pm

thanks to everyone involved in the graphics mod,it really adds alot to the game;more than I thought when I first installed it.

Thanks to Injun for asking the questions I've been thinking about, and thanks to Jabber for the quick reply .(after bouncing around the forum you appear to be a busy man.)

the mod should be good for all 110 series patches If I understand correctly?

critical error message

Mon Jun 30, 2008 11:58 pm

just patched from original 1.10 to 1.10d now get error message and program termination while playing a saved game.

I'm using mp84's portait update.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with errors mentioned in TeMagic's post or the fact that it's a saved game.

also noticed that I lost Bedford Forrest portrait which was there before.

no error yet today..but missing some enemy generals

Tue Jul 01, 2008 3:29 pm

just played several turns (about 5) with no error message.yeah!
perhaps a cold start helped I'll let you know if it comes back.thanks for responce.

Some general portaits are not seen on map, they were there but then became soldier icons. example:Forrest and Jackson are both listed as enemy commanding generals, the army has a portrait for each, one turn later they are still listed as enemy army generals but now there is a soldier Icon in place of the portraits.Oh well still love the mod though!
thanks I'm using 1.10d with mp84's 1.10 update.

I installed it using a Leader Graphics Mod Folder using 1.10d, simular to Clovis's Stuggle for a Vast Future mod. I added a picture. Ran it up and no crashes at start. Later see how it plays.

Jab,
I could not wait for the weekend. Loaded the files, after three turns crashed after promoting hamilton to corp command and moving him to the 1st division. I have attached all the files. Maybe the problem that Hood reported casued it.

Thanks for the update. By the way, i have noticed that "Armies and Fleets" folder contains 97 pics, while "Units" folder - 98. Is there something wrong? Are there any pics excluded?

I might've left two versions of CAuger in Units, or something like that.

thanks for the update...but lost j.reynolds

Sat Jul 12, 2008 1:11 pm

thanks for the update jabber,
I'm playing a saved game (1.10d).It appears that J. Reynolds and P.Marston's portaits don't show up.they appear to be there for caming purposes but the all images are blanks. map icon unit menus all blanks.

the funny thing is, I checked the unit, armies and model folders and they're all in there.

I'm not complaining,I love this mod but I thought you might like to know about any problems.

I have noticed that Graphics\Units folder contains portraits of different generals (Unit_CSA_JJohnston, Unit_CSA_Jackson, Unit_CSA_Holmes, Unit_CSA_Beauregard) which are actually R.Lee portrait. Why is that?

Left over from when the game was first put together I believe. They probably needed portraits in place for testing purposes, and that picture was done.

Update coming today to fix several more errors found in the 1.10d zip.

Newest version of 110d.zip just posted.

Fixes for:

F Herron
J Parke
J Ricketts
I Richardson
J M Palmer (was showing the pic for Admiral J Palmer)
R Ayres
S Crawford

All except for Ayres and Crawford should make it into the next official patch. Those two should be included in the one after that. Thanks Gray and jack!
