I have never done any mods before, but I've always been interested in giving it a try. I've seen several ideas on this page that I thought about combining into a mod, but I'm not 100% where to look or what some of the various lines mean. For example:
1. Where would I look to change the availability dates of mobilization for the CSA and USA?
2. One idea I've had is to allow the possibility that Missouri and Maryland secede...but put conditions on it (if possible) such as a minimum percentage of Southern support across the state. How do I do that?
3. I know there has been at least one mod of weather patterns done, but I was hoping to make a few tweaks of my own (such as allowing for a freak blizzard in the South). Where are the regional weather patterns?
I may get more questions later, but for now, this should be a start.
