Hi,

I have a small problem.
I cannot see the national morale and my rating in the up/left corner.
Moreover some title events seems wrong. AS CSA player i had french intervention on turn 2 (in reality i get naval batteries in norfolk) and i get general in pensylvania (evans in richmond and two others in west).
Finaly; i cant see if i loose or i win in battle report (no text).

Does anyone has the same script problem.

Thx

Post #4, a very long way down. Just to let you know though, it is not meant for 1.16, but one that is will come out any day now (was scheduled for slightly less than two weeks ago, but delayed a bit.) That one will come out on Clovis' blog, which is linked in his sig.

I am amongst the many eagerly awaiting. The body rocking and drooling is well adanced.

Presently playing the SVF version for 1.15 and having a great battle with one of my nephews.

I havent seen an update mention on Clovis blog since january 19th and I am wondering if I have missed something about the new update?

There were few non-SFV posts since then (Feb 3 the latest) but no, you havn't missed anything about the mod.

SVF with 1.15 or 1.16 beta?

Wed Mar 09, 2011 5:59 am

Hi there,

I bought the game yesterday and am eagerly awaiting the email that lets me download the game. Whilst I'm waiting, I was wondering if someone would recommend SFV with 1.15 or just use the 1.16 latest beta?

Thanks,

Charles

I'm guessing Clovis will not publish the new SVF until 1.16 is done. Does that sound right?

By the way, I'm playing the CSA as with SFV now on 1.15 against the AI and it is much more difficult than CSA with 1.16 only against AI, for those of you that are interested.

Not sure what we get with 1.16 but I hope the new version can benefit from that patch.

For those of you that are thinking about using this MOD (it is great), but it seems to crash starting in March/April 62 (after you put in the updated 2 zip files from a previous post) after the end of every turn. I don't think this was ever resolved. The game is saved, but you have to start the game again and again, which I'd imagine most people find to frustrating.

If someone got the game to work normally at all times, I'd love to hear how.

Does anyone know if SVF is still alive? Clovis announced that he was close to a final release back around Christmas, but he has been quiet since.

I love this mod and would love to see it completed.

the more I play this the more I become convinced that RUS is one of the best strategy games I have ever played... and I have played many since the mid 80's. The AI in this mod is at level with Sid Meier's best efforts.

So the confederates have a 15% probability to get nuclear weapons along the war, is it not? :D ;)

No, they may get all the AI cheats of Civilization :D

Seriously, SVF 2.0 is rather well advanced but the task to upgrade it to the the last AACW version has been rather difficult. And I want to test too some new AI scripts, so scripting time is longer than a simple copy, paste adapt of the Fatal Years script.

I saw in a different thread that 1.16 may be close to being finished. Should be a good signs of things to come, I'm guessing Clovis needs the final version to finish his.

See you on the other side,

How do you set the chance of leaders to a lower probability? I love the new AI however losing about 8 1 stars in 61 is not fun when the game doesnt random generateany new ones.

With announcement of the PON one month mod being put on hold and the RUS patch still "soon", does this mean the time for SVF has finally come? :)

As soon I get 3 free days to do so. I can't work on such an important work one or two hours a day ( don't ask why ;) I really don't know)

I want to change my favourite game from Gary Grigsby's BTR to AACW.
It depends on you! :D I think this is the best wargame: no boring micromanaging (like BTR, WITP), I can build up and organize my army from zero (not like other Ageod games), I can control a whole war (not like in TOAW) and I ..... so I really enjoy it. Without major bugs of course.

Forgotten to leave coordonates :)

For those interested in the future of my mod for AACW, the 2.0 version of SVF should be ready to test in the first days of August. If you’re willing to help me by testing this version in the first days of August…let a message here or on the Matrixgames forum, in the AACW subforum.

Now FY for RUS is almost finished, I may turn to SVF again.

Why FY is achieved?

Learn why here :

http://moddercorner.com/2011/07/20/about-ai-in-fatal-years/

and here

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2862564&mpage=4&key=#

and yet here
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=2865919

Time to do the same for the ACW ;)

A bit arrogant I know. :D But definitly not untrue. :)
