I know that. I'm saying the settings folder within the mod folder doesn't exist.

So the mod isn't properly installe.

So:

-is the pathname of your ACW folder is the default one, ie " C:\Program Files\AGEod's American Civil War\"? If not, you will have to enter the real path.

- have you unzipped SFV1, 2 and 3 before launching Struggle.bath file?

- Are SVF0,1,2 and 3 in the AACW directory?

I'm running Vista, so the path was different from what you have, but everything is in the proper folder.
I unzipped everything: SVF1,2,3 are all "applications" within the AACW folder.
I haven't seen SVF0, but I checked it in WinRAR, and it has only a bunch of folders, no SVF0.exe.

May 1862, Kentucky:

after the fall of Donelson, Grant has seized Corinth, lightly defended. Buell is coming to Bowling Green. Pope is assieging Island 10.

The replay of the next turn is downloable here, in flv format

I like how the Ai is facing several menaces by reshuffling its armies.

Vista...Disable UAC. Vista installs the SVF files in another folder ( or do a search to localize it)

The install in unachieved. The SVF folder contains just the unmodded files copied from the game and mooded files are lacking. The rest is somewhere thanks to UAC. You have to disable it.

I'm playing with the uploaded version I've installed. So the problem is tied to something wrong in your install pocess. Maybe have you installed other mods?

You should do a clean install of AACW before applying the mod.

No. I have no other mods. It's 1.15 vanilla. Unfortunately, I'm at college and left my copy of AACW at home, so I won't be able to try this for another week (thank you, spring break!).

Crash again

Sun Feb 28, 2010 7:01 pm

Hi Clovis!

I sent an email to the support but I send it to you too because I don't know who can solve my problem.

My AACW 1.5 crashes in every turn just before the turn ends (after the
AI has done his job but before the reports in the next turn appears). I
use the latest SFV mod and except the usage of this mod I didn't do any
changes. Datas of my computer:
Type: Lenovo Z61m with 2 Gb RAM
Videocard: Radeon X1400
Operating system: XP SP3
I use the latest drivers.

So the problem is the same as I wrote just before some posts.

Thanks for the help and best regards:

OK, I hope it works. There was a bugged event. Install the new version and resume your game.

What's new?

2 supply units are needed to build a depot.

I've tried it. Everything looks fine. Thank you.

Hmmmm.... The rebels begin the cut the heart of Missouri and Butler's army unable to stop them, Pope's Corps trapped south of Charleston while McClellan's army run to Ft. Donelson and McDowell launch a massive attack against Virginia. Grant's situation is between the great victory and a large disaster near Paducah. So there WILL be a quite interesting fight.....

One question: I lose about 2 or 3 generals in a month due to sickness or in battles but I don't get any info about the rebel leaders losses. I hope their mortality rate is the same, isn't it?

Another questions:
1. Is it possible to modify your mod that one supply unit enough to build a depot (without "my" error)
2. If I change the portrait of the generals (put the png files to the correct directories and change the mdl files) can it cause any problem? (I don't like the division hq portrait, I prefer the generic ones and some guys made portraits for some generals)
3. Can you tell us if any patches/corrections that come out it changes the mdl and graphic files? (Because if I made the graphic changes I can save them to overwrite a new version but I won't do this when you change the mdls.....)

1) open the depot file in the svf/gamedata/strucure folder with any notepad.

Change these lines

EltSubType0 = $SupplyType
EltAmount0 = 8

to

EltSubType0 = $SupplyType
EltAmount0 = 4

Save.

2) no.

3) I will when I will have time. I'm now beginning to work a little on the Union AI first. More urgent.

Congratulations for your great work !

Many good ideas to bring into the AACW2 wishlist :)

I'm currently looking for a kind of "updates.rtf" file which log all the changes of your MOD since the last version (i mean the official 1.15).
Its also hard to find the stuff and changes in this long SVF thread. Maybe you could EDIT your first post and place there the right files to download and the updated list of the changes.

I wish to have a much more detailed list of all the changes you did (and if possible how you did it) from the 1.15 version only (not the 1.13 or 1.14). Because :
- it could be usefull for the one who learn to MOD (actually, your documented MODding actions could be shown as example to put in the Wiki).
- it could be usefull when we choose House rules before a PBEM to be able to not use only few stuff of the whole SVF MOD. E.g. i was very enthousiastic about your Pontonneer unit with its beautifull icon but you removed it because of the AI behaviour with it. Could you let know to the player like me (who really don't care at all of the AI because they only play against humans in PBEM) how can they put again this unit like you designed it ?
- Since there is many ideas in your MOD and in the AACW2 wishlist that many hope to be adopted in a possible AACW2 game, i guess it will be very usefull to AGEOD and its community to have this list of detailed changes to all start from the AACW 1.15.

PS (French version) [FR] :
J'ai des soucis d'install', mais je crois comprendre : je ne peux pas utiliser ce MOD avec mon install' en français, il faut que je ré-install' le jeu complètement en anglais avec le patch 1.15 en anglais itou, n'est-ce pas ?

Thanks.

Documentation needs time. I lack so much for now free time to achieve the mod I just can't do much for modding documentation. Sorry...

The mod is only playable in English; once again, I decided early to put on the shelves all localization stuff to spare time :(
