The disc version had a tutorial in the manual for Britania. Would this still be useful?

The guidelines for the tutorial are somewhat outdated, so you won't be able to follow them precisely. The best thing to do would be to ignore the instructions and just play the tutorial as any other scenario - there are considerably less things to worry about than in other scenarios, so it's still very good practice.

One important thing, though - at the beginning, the Saxons do not have enough ships to bring over their horde unit to Britain. You have to wait until the horde spawns more ships. Interestingly, I believe that the tutorial instructions claim otherwise.
