Hello,

I would like to see a new version of this game.

I would like to see it Turn-based and running with the AGEOD engine.

700 years turn based? At which rate, one turn per day :mdr: I fear that would be unplayable. At best what could be envisionned is an evolution of the AJE series on the Dark Ages, (1 turn = 1 month) but with a limited scope on some key campaigns/wars (e.g. Justinian Reconquest of the Empire in 530+ AD).

a game with 150 years and 1 month by turn can be really fun.

For me, the best of the best are 1650 to 1815 :)

I would love to see the AGEOD system applied to the Byzantine-Muslim border area in eastern Turkey/northern Syria in, say, 800-1000.

The Byzantines had a pretty sophisticated doctrine of operational-level combined arms warfare: using light troops to delay an attacking army by holding critical passes, dogging its foragers with cavalry, and - if possible - pouncing upon a worn-down force. Add that to the machinations of keeping various border tribes and client states on-side, and I think it's a great scenario for a game of AGEOD's scale and focus.

Providing maps and OOBs is always a good start for scenario projects....at least the scope and difficulty can be evaluated
