Bombard passing ships special order

Wed Apr 22, 2009 1:18 am

Special order says "Click to NOT bombard passing ships"

It should read "Click to bombard passing ships"

This has been broken since I last played months ago. Now the tooltip is even more misleading.
Please fix this! :bonk:

Gray, check it out yourself with latest official patch.

Run Farrugut's fleet around Norfolk with the special order pressed or not.

EDIT: Ahh ok I see you guys have spotted the inconsistency already. I do hope it will be fixed for the next patch though.

to leave it alone preferring the "default" action to be to bombard passing ships

I had the impression from the thread cited, and from other discussions, that the preference was NOT bombard by default, press the button to bombard. Certainly I'd vote for that as a solution: sorry if that is what has already been arrived at (double negatives  :bonk: :wacko :) as it seems from the QuickFix9 post.

I have attached multilingual texts for this below the QF9 post.

[1.13b QF9]

all the texts now appear to be in English?

Attached corrected multilingual texts for strSpecToLandBombard (A1:C1) and strSpecLandBombard (A2:B2), given the default to not bombard, press the button to bombard.

I can't get a Russian font to work in Excel (so I can't check the Russian text), and I can't save the full CSV file from Excel 2007 without causing a fatal corruption for some reason.

But if it is helpful these cells could be cut'n'pasted into the new version of LocalStrings_AGE.csv
