Windowed Mode

Thu Jun 29, 2006 12:53 pm

Is there a way to run this excellent game in windowed mode? I run dual monitors so its nice to have the ability to play a game in windowed mode.

Have you tried to force the resolution used with AGESettings?

Nope didnt realize it was that easy. :)
I looked through the display settings but if there is a windowed mode option i must have missed it. Let me try again.

Thanks

set the wanted resolution to the physical resolution used by your primary monitor.
I can't promise it will works though.

ok i'm at work and while i have BOA installed at my work computer i forgot to write down my Serial #. But based on your post yea i did that i set the screen resolution but it still runs in fullscreen mode so i have to alt-tab. It's not a horribly big deal just running in windowed mode is normally easier for me since i have dual monitors but no biggie. Maybe its something you can throw into your next patch if you have the inclination. Using DX it's a pretty simple mod. But i'll live without it.

Thank you for the prompt response. It's very rare to get a company official much less a developer on a forum to answer you. Definately appreciated.

it's nothing, we do want to improve our games (but we just can't add all requests ;) ).

I have an idea about that, we will try it in the next patch yes.

Shiny!

Well if not its not a game breaker or anything i'm just being a typical whiney end-user. :) The game is still worth the $$. I'd buy it again in a heart beat. The American Revolution is one genre that has been so underserved. I'm excited to say the least.
